DNP, in cooperation with steAm Co., Ltd., held a special class in which students from three prefectures in Japan interacted within "Kizuki-no-mori," which was developed at the virtual venue of the Expo 2025 Osaka Kansai VIRTUAL EXPO~YUMESHIMA ISLANDS IN THE SKY~ Flying Yumeshima." In the exchange class, students from three schools across regions became avatars and used voice chat in the metaverse space, creating an opportunity to interact with students of the same generation. Impressions and opinions of participating students- Although it was our first meeting, we were able to expand the conversation by learning about each other's avatar costumes and nicknames.
- I'm shy, but I was able to talk without feeling nervous in my avatar form.
- It was my first time speaking with students from another prefecture, and I was able to experience the differences in intonation and the differences between our schools. I was able to converse with people who were geographically far away in a virtual space, with a sense of familiarity.

*If it was difficult to come up with ideas, we provided and utilized idea generation support using a generation AI tool. DNP is developing educational programs that focus on cross-disciplinary learning that creates a cycle of knowing (exploration) and making (creativity) through STEAM education and connects it to the resolution of individual and societal issues. Many people participated.Following on from the June event, this time we collaborated with CDLE Nagoya *1 to utilize generative AI to support idea generation, so that anyone can enjoy creativity with the help of technology, even without special knowledge. By entering the chosen confusion and selecting a card, the system suggested a perspective for thinking about it, and generated a short story and illustration of how it could be resolved. Over 200 visitors participated, including those from the June event, and were able to imagine a future where various confusions are resolved.
We will continue to provide programs that make learning (exploration) and creating (creation) more accessible.*1 What is CDLE (cider)?
Organized by the Japan Deep Learning Association (JDLA), this is one of Japan's largest AI communities, with over 100,000 members, and is open only to those who have passed the G and E certifications. As Japan's representative for the social implementation of deep learning, it provides a place for evangelists who will advance society to gather, learn from each other, and share their ideas. DNP conducted a special class at Osaka Prefectural Yodo Commercial High School, where students experienced interaction in a metaverse space, utilising "Kizuki-no-mori", which is being developed at the virtual venue of the Expo 2025 Osaka Kansai Expo, VIRTUAL EXPO~YUMESHIMA ISLANDS IN THE SKY~. In the special class, the high school students who participated in the class experienced not only "Kizuki-no-mori" but also various pavilions at Virtual Expo groups, and thought about how to better experience and utilize the metaverse space. Impressions and opinions of participating students- It was interesting to have a different experience from the pavilions I saw at the actual Expo.
- I was able to communicate with people I don't usually talk to using voice chat and emotes.
- It would be good if the controls were simpler so that people with disabilities could play too.
- Wouldn't it be more fun if it was a space where people could interact and cooperate with each other?
Classmates actively interacted with each other in the virtual space, communicating with each other through voice and text chat and touring pavilions together. Osaka Prefectural Yodo Commercial High School website → Osaka Prefectural Yodo Commercial High School
