An exhibition tracing the evolution of postwar World Expos through their designs will open at the Kyoto ddd Gallery on June 13th.
The Kyoto ddd Gallery, operated DNP Foundation for Cultural Promotion, will hold an exhibition entitled "Modern Expo Posters: A Graphical Journey Through World Expos Expos," from Friday, June 13, 2025 to Wednesday, August 20, 2025, tracing the evolution of postwar world expositions through graphic design.
This exhibition, held in collaboration with Dai Nippon Printing Co., Ltd., will display posters from 14 World Expos, from the first one held since the war in Brussels in 1958 to Expo 2025 Osaka Kansai in 2025, showcasing the various creative expressions that designers have used to express the individuality and themes of each country and region. Some of the posters on display will also appear in the virtual "Kizuki-no-mori" venue that DNP is developing at Expo 2025 Osaka Kansai.
